Практически каждому пользователю персонального компьютера известно о, пожалуй, самой знаменитой ОС своего времени – Windows XP.
Не является тайной и то, что корпорация Microsoft с недавнего времени прекратила поддержку данного продукта, выпустив, самый сентиментальный ролик, который Вы, кстати, с легкостью сможете увидеть на YouTube.

Но что же поделать, за время своего существования старушка XP обрела миллионную армию поклонников, тем или иным способом готовых платить за некоторые неудобства, но при этом оставаться верными системе.

Прогресс движется вперед, Microsoft перестала выпускать важные обновления и заплатки безопасности. Но не бывает безвыходных ситуаций.
И вот один наш немецкий друг программист отыскал возможность получать апдейты уже не поддерживаемой системы. Так сложилось, что прекращен выпуск заплаток для настольной версии, но так же существует отдельная версия ОС, использующаяся на банкоматах и различных терминалах, так называемая Windows POSReady 2009. У этой системы срок поддержки еще не истек и будет аж до 2019 года. Легким движением рук можно незначительно изменить значения системного реестра и вуа – ля, обновления все так же доступны для загрузки. От вас требуется создать пустой файл, присвоив ему расширение .reg и записать в него нижеуказанный код:

Далее запускаем его. Вот в принципе и все.
Создатель данного твика предупреждает, что не несет ответственности за все внесенные Вами изменения, а компания Microsoft и вовсе рекомендует заменить устаревшую ОС на более актуальные версии.
